Match

Everton will be squaring off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in another daunting away fixture and manager Ronald Koeman will be hopeful that his side can produce another resolute performance as they did against Manchester City last time out.

Everton Team News

Morgan Schneiderlin will be unavailable for the clash after picking up a red card against Manchester City while even Davy Klaassen as well as Sandro Ramirez have been ruled out due to injury.

Despite the key absentees though, Everton will be able to put out a strong side on the day. The very impressive Jordan Pickford will be starting in goal while the three man defence will consist of Ashley Williams, Phil Jagielka and Michael Keane. In the wing back positions, young Mason Holgate and veteran Leighton Baines look set to start once again.

With Klaassen ruled out, club record signing Gylfi Sigurdsson is set for his full debut on the day while the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Tom Davies will be providing the support at the middle of the park.

Prodigal son Wayne Rooney will look to continue his fine run of form in front of goal during the clash and the extremely impressive young Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to be leading the line once again for the Toffees.

Probable Lineups

30/04/2017 Everton 0 – 3 Chelsea

Prediction

Everton were hammered on both occasions by Chelsea last season but one can expect a much more closer encounter this weekend as the Toffees are a completely different proposition while the champions do seem to have their weaknesses.

The match should be an enticing affair with numerous chances for both sides and Everton should have enough about them to grab at least a draw from the encounter.

Chelsea 1 – 1 Everton
