Everton are ready to splash the cash to secure the services of Brazilian striker Willian Jose, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Romelu Lukaku has been in sensational form this term and the Belgian international grabbed his 24th Premier League goal of the season in the Toffees’ 3-1 victory over Burnley at Goodison Park during the weekend.

While Lukaku’s goals continue to help Everton towards at least a Europa League finish, fans will have mixed feelings regarding the striker at the moment due to the fact that he has all but confirmed his departure from Goodison Park at the end of the season.

Replacing a quality player such as Lukaku is certain to be a very difficult task for Everton but it is something that simply has to be done and manager Ronald Koeman is said to be looking at various targets to pursue for the summer.

Real Sociedad star Willian Jose has been mentioned as one of the players touted to replace Lukaku at Everton and now according to reports from the Daily Mail, claims have been made that the Toffees are ready to splash as much as £28million to sign the Brazilian striker.

Jose has been in fine form this season, scoring 10 goals in 24 appearances in La Liga and Koeman is reportedly ready to match the club’s record transfer fee to land the 25-year-old, which would equal the fee Everton paid for Lukaku in 2014.
