Everton transfer update: Acerbi, Kolasinac and Agyei

Koeman eyes Acerbi as Jagielka replacement

Everton have made wonderful progress under the tutelage of Ronald Koeman during the current campaign and it is widely expected that the Dutchman will look to strengthen his squad in the upcoming summer in order to boost the Toffees’ hopes of finishing in the top four.

Reinforcing the backline will surely be one of the top priorities for Koeman, especially with veteran Phil Jagielka likely to be leaving at the end of the season and now according to reports from Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Everton are keen on signing Sassuolo centre-half Francesco Acerbi.

Acerbi has been one of the top performing defenders in the Italian Serie A over the last few years and Everton are allegedly set to splash as much as £10million to land the services of the 29-year-old.

Everton make contacts with Kolasinac

It had been reported that Sead Kolasinac had accepted a contract with Arsenal recently but no confirmation has been made and a number of clubs remain in the hunt to secure the services of the Bosnian international.

Now according to Sky Sports, even Everton have joined in the race to sign Kolasinac by establishing contacts with the soon-to-be out of contract defender. Along with Everton, the likes of Manchester City and AC Milan are also believed to be interested.

Young Burnley attacker wanted

Ronald Koeman is an advocate of giving young players a chance to shine in the first team and the likes of Tom Davies, Mason Holgate and Ademola Lookman flourishing during the current season is a testament to this fact.

It is expected that Koeman will bring in more young players to Goodison Park during the upcoming transfer window and now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, Everton are currently planning a swoop for Burnley youngster Daniel Agyei.
