Tim Howard – 7

Tim Howard did not have much to do throughout the game due to Everton’s dominance but he certainly had to be on his toes to deny Jordan Veretout with a fine save just after the interval.

Seamus Coleman – 8

Coleman enjoyed a very comfortable afternoon at the back and was allowed a lot of freedom to attack as well.

As a result of the freedom, the Irishman combined well with Deulofeu and provided a wonderful cross in the first half to allow Lukaku to find the back of the net.

John Stones – 8

Stones

Stones has been enduring a difficult time during the past few weeks but the defender would have been finally happy at helping Everton earn a clean sheet this weekend.

Although Villa did not pose much of a threat, Stones did not put a foot wrong and the performance will surely give the Everton star a lot of satisfaction.

Ramiro Funes Mori – 7

Mori

Mori has been solid as a replacement for the injured Phil Jagielka and he put in another good performance against Villa.

While the Argentine did make an error which gifted Veretout a great chance, the defender’s overall performance was solid barring the mistake.

Brendan Galloway – 7

Galloway

Galloway retained his place in the starting lineup for the clash after shaking off a slight knock and the youngster put in another impressive performance.

Calm and mature, Galloway seems set to become the first choice left back for Everton in the years to come if he can maintain such performance levels.

Gareth Barry – 7.5

The evergreen Gareth Barry has been a rock at the middle of the park for Everton this season and the veteran put in another quality display against his former side.

Impeccable with his passing as usual, Barry made a host of crucial interceptions throughout the game to stem the Villa attack at its source.

James McCarthy – 7.5

Alongside Barry, James McCarthy has been in very good form as well and the Irishman did very well before being taken off in the 84th minute.

Gerard Deulofeu – 8.5

Deulofeu

Deulofeu has really come into the fore in recent weeks and the young Spaniard was once again at the heart of everything good Everton did on the day from an attacking standpoint.
Arouna Kone – 7

Kone

Kone did not get himself on the score sheet during the clash but he was a constant danger to the Aston Villa backline whenever on the ball and had a big part to play in Barkley’s first goal.

Ross Barkley – 9

Barkley has been in sensational form this season and the midfielder put in another stunning display to help his side to a victory over Villa.

The attacking midfielder looked dangerous throughout the match and managed a well taken brace as well as a quality assist during the game.

Romelu Lukaku – 9

Romelu Lukaku continued his fine run of form in front of goal by scoring two well taken goals against Villa.

Lukaku has been a real assassin in front of goal and his exploits on Saturday takes the Belgian international’s tally to 11 in all competitions this season.

Gibson

Gibson was a late sub to eat up minutes.
Kevin Mirallas – 6

Handed 15 minutes to impress, Mirallas looked very lively and managed a couple of decent attempts on goal.

The veteran was also brought on with 15 minutes to go and he did well.
