International attacker wants to leave Everton

According to reports from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Gerard Deulofeu is keen on leaving Everton this summer.

Everton managed to secure the services of Gerard Deulofeu for a meagre fee of around £4.3million in the summer of 2015 and many felt that the Toffees had pulled off a major bargain, especially considering his wonderful performances at Goodison Park on loan during the 2013/14 season.

Unfortunately though, Deulofeu has been unable to produce his best during his second spell at Everton and was offloaded on loan to AC Milan during the second half of last season.

Deulofeu managed to recapture his best form once again at Milan and there have been reports that Barcelona could potentially activate a £10.5 million buy-back option to re-sign the attacker after being impressed with his exploits in Italy.

However, Barcelona have not made their move as of yet and now according to reports, Deulofeu is intent on leaving Everton – whether or not he earns a transfer to the Nou Camp and allegedly has his sights on a permanent stay at Milan due to the Catalan giants’ passive approach.

Where Deulofeu ends up this summer remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, the Spaniard will not be plying his trade for Everton next season.
